WHAT ARE PRIORITIES?
In our case all messages have routine priority, this is declare by the R after the message number. In theory, a really important message might have a P priority. This means that the processing of R messages is stopped in order to handle the P (Priority) message.
HOW TO CONFIRM A MESSAGE IF SEVERAL STATIONS ARE AROUND?
If DA0AAA sent message nr 4 say QSL 4/DA0AAA. If no other messages with number 4 are in the queue QSL 4 is good enough

WHAT IS A DIRECTED NET?
In such a net the NET CONTROL STATION (NCS) guides every aspect of the net. All stations communicate with the NCS *ONLY* (unless instructed otherwise by the NCS). This is the format of most QTC nets. In directed nets QN-Signals may be used. Currently, the EUCW QTC net is still in an experimental phase, and it is not yet guided by an NCS.
ARE THERE PARTICULAR CODES FOR TRAFIC NETS?
Not really. Yet, you are expected to have a reasonable command of brevity codes and of (a small subset of) q-codes (see Amateur Radio section). However, the CONTENT section of a radiogram should not contain abbreviations or codes. This is necessary in order to protect the integrity of messages.
WHAT IS THE BEST KEY FOR A TRAFFIC NET?
Choose the key which allows you to transmit as error-free as possible. Technically, electronic keyers and keyboards produce the best code. Choose the speed that the receiving station is comfortable with. Don't be shy to ask for qrs if appropriate.WHAT ARE HX-CODES?
These are handling instructions in the header (preamble) of a radiogram. They are not frequently used in the EUCW Net so far. In practice we take an implicit "HXG" for granted. This means that messages are not forwarded if any expense is involved. It is pretty safe to ignore HX-codes in our messages. Many of the codes are not even applicable under European law which does not allow forwards to third parties. PDF document with HX-CodesWHAT IF MY ENGLISH IS VERY BASIC?
Elsewhere on eucw.org, you may find the statement "the official language of EUCW is English", however, the meaning of this refers only to the internal work of EUCW. The core job of EUCW is to be an information exchange platform, and the actors are a chairman, the EUCW communications managers, and few other helpers. These persons are indeed required to be able to communicate in English. Instead, our main activity on air is directed to the general public, and many translations of the rules are provided. In fact, hams tend to be rather tech oriented than language oriented. It is one of the strengths of CW to welcome these op. Obviously, the best language in any ham radio contact is the one with the maximum overlap of the language skill of both participants. In a network, the most typical case is that a particular message is sent from station A to station B. Usually A and B know each other, and there is no need to negotiate a language. We do also complement the net with personal messages over the Internet. Feel free to approach any net participant for help. Of course, a QTC network requires mutual respect. Nobody should be dragged into the uncomfortable situation to relay a message in an unknown language. We expect all participants to be thoughtful when asking for QSP. Likewise, the number of "messages for all" should be reduced to a minimum. It is up to you to choose an appropriate language but be considerate and don't take anything for granted, when is doubt, just ask your QTC partners what they prefer.
